Arrow of Light

Fifth Grade

Fifth graders work toward the Arrow of Light rank.  If a fourth-grade Cub Scout has completed the Webelos rank, they may begin to work on the Arrow of Light. The Arrow of Light rank is earned by completing five adventures, as described below. 

Complete each of the six required adventures:

 

Outside of the requirements, Arrow of Light Scouts can also complete any number (2 required) of elective adventures of their den’s or family’s choosing.

Uniform

The Arrow of Light Cub Scout uniform has the following parts:

  1. Shirt: The official tan uniform shirt is available with long or short sleeves and has button-flap pockets.

  2. Pants: The official green shorts, long pants, skorts, and roll up pants.

  3. Belt: Official green web belt with Scouting America buckle.

  4. Socks: Official green socks are available in three lengths: ankle, crew, and knee.

  5. Hat: Optional – Arrow of Light Scouts may wear any official Scouting America hat.

  6. Neckerchief: Optional – Arrow of Light Scouts may wear any official Scouting America neckerchief.

  7. Neckerchief Slide: Official Scouts BSA slide with Scouting America emblem.

  8. Adventures Colors: The Adventure Colors are worn on the right sleeve to display the Arrow of Light Adventure Pins that have been earned.

  9. Loops: Official Cub Scouts blue loops are worn on the shoulders of the shirt.
