Happy Summer Pack 442!!! Summer break is drawing to a close and the school year will start in less than two weeks. While you all are getting your school supplies together, awaiting your teacher assignments, and about to start fall sports, there is plenty of scouting activities to get excited about! Check out the latest Cubmaster Corner and mark your calendars for our Kick-Off Swim Party and 1st Pack Meeting of the scouting year!
Unfortunately the Pack was unable to participate in the July 4th Parade this year, but the silver lining is that Pack 442 seemed to be one step ahead of the weather! I did have the opportunity this summer to spend some time with some boys scout at summer camp as well as seeing them in action a high adventure camp in Florida and I can't wait to share what our scouts have to look forward to as they progress in scouting. Our goal in Pack 442 is to get our scouts ready for the next level of scouting and I'm confident that this year will be our best!

In our Pack, the Sawyer's took a trip to the Cub Scout Summer Camp at Camp Alexander in Lake George, CO. The highlights of the trip included not only wonderful weather with temps from the 50s to 80 degrees, but also BB Shooting, Slingshot, Fishing, Boating and games and crafts! This is the second year their family has done a summer camp, and it has become a highlight of their summer. If you have not considered these type of events over the summer, we would recommend you talking to them about the experience and see if it is a good fit for your family.

LTISD Convocation Flag Ceremony - August 6, 2025 1:30pm @ Lake Travis High School Performing Arts Center
We have also been invited to participate in the LTISD Convocation on August 6th at the Performing Arts Center at the High School. Our AOL scouts will be performing the ceremony, which will give great visibility to the Pack and a great opportunity to the scouts participating. This event along with the Kindergarten Club Party conducted by the LTES on July 27th is the official start of our recruitment season. We have plenty of exciting events coming up to help provide others to join our scouting adventure. Talk to your friends and see if they are interested in the great adventures we have!

General Pack Info for All Scouts:
Calendar and Events
Pack 442 2025-2026 Calendar: Catch a sneak peek at our Website Calendar for the next scout year. There may be slight changes as we get into the year, but we’ll do our best to stick with this as closely as possible. PDF version for your frig is located HERE!
Den Calendars will be provided as the scouting year starts, and all of the events are/will be loaded into the Scoutbook calendars for each den. All calendar communication will officially come through Scoutbook, so make sure you are connected to your scout. We will go over this at the August Pack Meeting for anyone that is not. Below is a glimpse at what the calendars could look like. Den meeting dates will be set by your Den Leaders in the coming weeks.
Registration Info:
As we kick off the new year, we have several pieces of info that we need from all the scouts, both new and returning. First of, if you can take a moment to fill out this FORM to let us know what your families intentions are for this coming year!
You can find the link to all of the required forms HERE. This includes:
- Scout Registration Form – Update our roster/contact info for the pack
- Medical Forms – These need to be filled our every year so we have on hand during events. A Form is required for all family members that will participate in an overnight event (campout, overnight)
- Photo Media Release – Needed to post/share media of our adventures.
- Family Talent Survey – Best way to connect volunteers to where we need them most.
Check our Pack Registration Log to see your status on all of the above. Click Here.
Additionally, we want to inform everyone that the dues structure is changing this year. We ARE NOT increasing our fees, but instead we are asking every family to participate in the Fundraiser side of our operations to cover that portion of our income as individual families. You will have options to participate or contribute the value of the fundraiser, but in essence, our yearly budget requires at least $350 per scout. Historically that has been covered through $175 Dues and our fundraiser to cover the other half. This year we are asking that every family contribute at least $175 to the fundraiser side to distribute responsibility to ALL scouts. We have plenty of options for fundraising so your family can pick what works best for you. Those details will be released at our first Pack Meeting in August.
We have a lot more information to share over the next few weeks regarding den calendars, pack meetings, fundraising, and more. I can’t begin to tell you how excited we are for this year considering all the changes happening to the scout rank and adventures. So many of our pack events continue to align with rank adventures providing the scouts with so many opportunities to earn awards for their uniforms.
We can’t wait to see you all at the Swim Party in two weeks!
YIS,
Bryan Weatherford
